Cloud computing is a technology that allows users to access and store data, run applications, and use computing resources over the internet without needing to own physical hardware or infrastructure. It essentially involves renting servers, storage, and other computing resources from a cloud service provider, rather than owning and maintaining them locally.

There are three main types of cloud computing services:
1. Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) – Provides virtualized computing resources over the internet, such as servers, storage, and networking.
2. Platform as a Service (PaaS) – Offers a platform allowing developers to build, test, and deploy applications without managing the underlying infrastructure.
3. Software as a Service (SaaS) – Delivers software applications over the internet on a subscription basis, eliminating the need for users to install and maintain the software on their own devices.

Cloud computing offers numerous benefits, including scalability, flexibility, cost-efficiency, and improved security. It has become increasingly popular among businesses and individuals looking to streamline their IT operations and leverage the power of cloud-based services.
